Shane, an already successful small business owner and Adam, a Kansas City Native both enjoyed a number of the same activities, including cars. Shane and Adam believed that they could be successful in the Kansas City used car market, given their interest in cars and their business experience. Together they had a vision that there were few used car dealers in the Kansas City metro that offered the same concept as they had, buying and selling QUAILTY pre-owned vehicles at the BEST price in the current Kansas City market. Shane and Adam hated the reputation of the “Used Car Salesman”! Not only did they want to offer exceptional pre-owned vehicles and pricing, but it was mandatory that KC Motor Works was going to be a “Salesman FREE” environment, NO pressure, NO Lies, NO gimmicks, NO worries!

On March 1, 2009, KC Motor Works stared with an inventory of six vehicles. Sticking with the business plan of buying and selling quality pre-owned Honda’s, Toyota’s, domestic vehicles and other popular pre-owned vehicles from a price range of $3k to 10k. Shane and Adam gradually added and improved not only their sales, but their inventory month after month. Only six months after opening their doors, at 11th and Burlington in North Kansas City, KC Motor Works had an average inventory of 22-28 Vehicles. They had already out grown their new location after only six month after opening their doors. October 1, 2009 KC Motor Works had found the permanent home and their new location, 1628 Burlington Street, in North Kansas City, just five blocks north of their previous location.

KC Motor Works is excited about opening their doors at their new location, 16th and Burlington in January 2010.
